The technology behind our bioscrubbers is based on a spray system. The gas stream is introduced into a spray tower, which contains appropriate packing material inside, while a water solution is sprayed from the top of the tower in counter-flow. The water contains colonies of biological activators, which also grow on the packing material and use the pollutants as food. This results in the pollutants ultimately being converted into carbon dioxide. Bioscrubbers are the ideal deodorisation and emission control system in cases where available space is limited. They combine the function of a biofilter and a gas scrubber in a much smaller system. Their applicability depends on the type of pollutants and operating conditions.
