Industrial filters with cartridge filter elements
Industrial filters with cartridge filter elements have generally smaller outer dimensions, proportional to the size of the filtering surface and are prefered for applications where space is limited.
Filtering elements can be maintained or replaced from the front or the top of the installation. They also do not required support caging (they are self-supported) and are constructed using a variety of industrial fabrics, according to the type of the dust that must be handled, as well as the operational environment of the filter (temperature, humidity etc).
Extra care is needed at the design phase of industrial filters with cartridge filter elements, since dust removal is quite difficult at the corrugated surfaces used at this type of filter. This may lead to the rejection of this type of filter for some applications, or to adjust the dust charge factor on the filter surface to the lowest possible.
